Why should I choose Greenstar?

What is the average cost of a solar electric system?
The price of a system will vary greatly and will depending on such things as panel and inverter selection, your electrical usage, sun exposure, and so on. Now is an excellent time to be go solar as the rebates and incentives could save you up to 50% of the total cost of a solar system!
What is grid-tie?
Currently, the rebates offered by your local energy company require you to tie back into the grid. This means that you are connected to the electric grid and are feeding your energy back to the energy company for them to use. If you produce more then you use, you get money back!
How long does a system last?
The main component of a solar system, the solar modules, are warranted for 25 years but have a typical design life of over 40.
How long does a solar system take to pay for itself?
This depends on a number of factors including your current cost of electricity, the rate structure of your electrical service, the incentives available to you, and the cost of money on your investment. When paying cash, a typical residential system may see a simple payback in 8-12 years.
What incentives are available?
If you are in Colorado and choose solar for your home or business you can take advantage of two different financial incentives:
- Federal – a 30% tax credit is available for solar electric systems
- State – many state utility companies provide cash rebates.
